To install the Intellistick system into your equipment, follow the instructions in the install guide shipped with it. These can also be downloaded here: Dipstick Installation Guide or Threaded Sensor Installation Guide.

If you have purchased the optional 4-20mA output, this has three output loops to connect into your control or telemetry system. These are described in more detail in the manual. Each output has a 4-20mA loop associated with it as follows:

It is important to note that the Temperature-Compensated Conductance (TCC) reading is only valid over a set oil temperature range. The default temperature range is a wide range of 120 to 250 F- this will be suitable for a wide range of equipment. The temperature and emulsion / contamination reading are available continuously.

If you need to change the alarms set points, the TCC temperature range or the TCC averaging time, you will need to use the Intellistick Configuration Program and an RS232 connection. This program also allows you to set the communication options for integration with digital data inputs to telemetry systems.

In addition to adjusting the unit’s settings, the PC software allows you to download and view data from the Intellistick. The Intellistick analyzer stores up to 1 month of data internally which you can use this program to access.

To install the software, download the IntelliStick PC Software 2.0 for RS232/RS485 Systems, here. Double click the zip file and extract all files.  Navigate to the folder you extracted to, double click Setup.exe and follow the instructions.

After the installation process is complete, run the Intellistick Monitor program from the start menu.
