Bluetooth Connectivity TroubleshootingProblem: Bluetooth searches but cannot find the unit. Trouble Shooting Steps:
Problem: While searching or adding a new Intellistick, a message pops up asking for a PIN number. Trouble Shooting Steps: Enter 0000 (four zeros). Physical Installation TroubleshootingProblem: The green light does not blink. Trouble Shooting Steps: 1) Make sure that the ground wire is securely attached to a chassis bolt. 2) Make sure that the power (red) wire is securely attached to a continuous power supply. Problem: After setting the length of the probe based on the vehicle’s dipstick, the probe gives the feeling that it is hitting something. Trouble Shooting Steps: 1) Remove the probe and double check that the insertion length is correct. The probe should only extend 1" below the add mark of the factory dipstick. 2) Run the engine and remove the probe. Inspect the probe for wear marks to make sure that it does not interfere with any moving engine part. 3) If it is not possible to insert the dipstick into the diptube contact IntelliStick support. Problem: The IntelliStick indicates “No Oil” when initially installed. Trouble Shooting Steps: 1) Reset the stopper on the probe cable to insert the sensor farther into the oil pan than originally determined by the dipstick. Insert by additional ½ inch until “No Oil” signal stops and the entire sensor is immersed in oil. Problem: After the unit has been working continuously and suddenly does not work and the green LED does not blink. Trouble Shooting Steps: 1) Make sure that the red power wire is securely affixed to a power source that provides power when the vehicle key is off. If necessary change the wire terminal and reattach to the power source. 2) Make sure that the black ground wire is securely affixed to a proper chassis ground location. If necessary change the ground wire terminal and reattach to the ground source. 3) If the above steps do not resolve the problem change the power and ground wires using proper wire splice terminals and ring or spade terminals. Reattach the wires and replace the fuse. 4) Check the fuse.
