SANTA ANA, CA – Members of the Recycled Paperboard Technical Association (RPTA) are invited to take advantage of a 10 percent discount when they purchase one or more IntelliStick intrusion and oil condition monitoring systems that deliver reliable and immediate condition-based maintenance information for paper mill applications. Designed for plant maintenance supervisors, business owners, equipment engineers and lubrication and reliability professionals, the innovative IntelliStick technology provides valuable and highly cost effective best practices guidance for maintenance and equipment reliability programs.
Whether installed in-plant or in the field, IntelliStick is a low cost, single-sensor, multi-function instrument that alarms on intrusion, transmits temperature, monitors oil condition and guides oil change patterns. Communication with plant equipment monitoring systems is immediate via RS-232/485 or optional 4-20mA output without the usual delay of lab sample reports.
The device features a threaded sensor that can be installed in the lubrication system of industrial and commercial engines. It is an immediate and real time data source for mission critical equipment to guard against catastrophic equipment failures, excessive temperature and oil loss, monitor remote equipment, and increase equipment useful lifetime.
Previous IntelliStick customers joining RPTA will receive the discount for the three-month period immediately preceding their RPTA membership date. The agreement has a two-year term that expires December 15, 2011 and the discount cannot be combined with other discounts.
The company recently completed a multi-month Pilot Program in conjunction with the RPTA Energy, Engineering & Maintenance Task Force to evaluate the system in the challenging environment of paper mills. The case study reports that IntelliStick reliably detects water intrusion and effectively monitors oil condition and temperature in real time. The program evaluated several mill installations and data for several months and included the application of five IntelliStick instruments in three mills in the Southwest, Midwest and Southeast United States. The instruments were installed on a variety of mill equipment, including bearing lubrication systems, pulper gearbox and generator engines.
A copy of the case study report, entitled Intrusion Detection & Oil Condition Monitoring: A Paper Industry Pilot Program, is available online at http://intellistick.com/products/case-studies-i. Contact IntelliStick Sales at 888-812-5988, ext 221, or by email at
